Ohel David (Eastern Jewry) is an independent community of Sephardi and Mizrachi Jews based in West Essex/East London.

Our kahal has roots in Israel, Britain, North Africa, India, the Middle East – and beyond. Join us for a warm Shabbat service with melodies from across the Edot Mizrach. All welcome, regardless of affiliation.

Established in 1965, Ohel David was originally part of the former ‘Eastern Jewry' Community, of East London and Essex, with our synagogue previously based in Newbury Park. In December 2020, Ohel David moved to its new home in Gants Hill.
